Aadil studied from the age of seven with B.K.S. Iyengar and at the age of ten, he was introduced to the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, he is known as a teacher for teachers and is great for students who want to evolve in their yogapractice. He has a special style in teaching and shares his knowledge with humour, stories and philosofical insights. Together with his wife Savriti, they bring all their knowledge together in what is called Purna yoga. Purna means ‘whole’, it brings all the aspects of life together from breath, food, meditation and lifestyle to asana.

This weekend is about yoga and lifestyle. Learn to strengthen your inner and outer power with simple techniques you can use in your daily life. These techniques awaken a more subtle consciousness. We will do standing poses, align your spine, hips and shoulders, do twists, backbends and restoratives and you will learn some therapeutic techniques to help your body to find its balance.

Connection and Flow in Purna Yoga™

The beautiful forms of asana when connected create a powerful flowing sequence which rejuvenates the body and focuses the mind. Learn how to practice such flowing forms safely and effectively so that you not only avoid injuries in your shoulders and sacrum, but are able to practice for the rest of your life.

Healing the Neck and Shoulders in Purna Yoga™

Therapeutic, All Levels

The mind communicates to the body through the neck.  A flexible and strong neck is crucial for this communication.  Because we hold tension in our necks and shoulders, we shrink blood vessels and thereby create pain and stiffness in this area.  This leads to headaches and mental fatigue.  Learn Purna Yoga™ Series to release tension in the neck and shoulders making your mind feel young again.

Detox and Recharge: Twists and Backbends in Purna Yoga

All Levels (suggested 3 months alignment-based asana)

Twists increase the gastric fire, and detoxify the digestive system, thereby improving digestion. Additionally, twists release the tiny inter-vertebral muscles along the spine, freeing it for backbends. When done correctly, backbends bring joy and strength, focus and power. Learn how to do beginning backbends safely, with alignment and strength, so that as you move deeper into the practice of backbends and recharge your spine, you can enjoy the benefits without injury.

14.00-17.00

Restoratives & Pranayama in Purna Yoga™

All levels

This class will begin with supine poses and mild stretches to gently open the body, leading to an inner focus on the Heart Chakra in Shavasana (lying relaxation).  This will be followed by a soft Ujjayi pranayama practice (yogic breathing technique) to release the nerves and quiet the mind.  Be prepared to discover your own inner beauty and the gifts of inner awareness.

Bring: one sticky mat, one belt, one block and one blanket.
